Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama, winning the 2008 general election against John McCain, was inaugurated 44th and current president of the United States of America. It was phenomenal for he was the first African American president of the country. In the midst of the economical crisis, Americans showed the rest of the world that they still can make a change for a better future and believed on the policies presented by Obama. The preceding administration, under President Bush was bold enough to face the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Can Obama presidency stand up and end their combat missions soon? Innocent victims of wars, soldiers, women, and children are the ones who suffer the most. Obama must STOP these wars, promote Middle East peace and manage properly the economy of the most powerful country in the world. Indeed, USA is powerful but responsibilities are merely forgotten which created the worldwide recession. Recovery must be the main goal of Obama administration. Fair domestic and foreign policies, healthcare reforms will just have to intervene to the aching condition of this world.

As the economic world is facing the financial crisis, every aspect of lives is greatly affected. Nobody is exempted, businessmen, middlemen, employed, unemployed, rich or poor felt the problem. It is a chain of reaction and the ones deeply affected are the countries from the Third world including the Philippines. The Republic of the Philippines is still dependent on the monetary fund of richer countries thus, financially incapable credits are rendered. With the deepening financial imbalance, the rich is getting richer and the poor getting poorer, nonetheless, resources are plenty but not equally distributed.
